Cologne Florence was built by the Federation tow Battle of Florence, opened in 1932. La Rosa Maltoni is Cologne's largest Calambrone (14,000 sqm) together with Cologne and Italian Fasci Abroad, is the most interesting from an architectural standpoint. Presents an open structure with horizontal bodies that rise as the long rectangular balconies and tall windows bends. Front of the building towards the sea, rise two water tanks that look like cylindrical towers of orange, wrapped in a steep spiral staircase, a dark gray color. Surprising is the color of the plaster and fixtures (bright orange, red cinnabar), but also the interior: the coral beds and the pink door. The accession in 1933 of the futurism Mazzoni has attributed this to Cologne future architectures.
Cologne Sons Italian Fasci Abroad Made in 1935 on the project of arch. Paniconi and Pedicone. Opened in the summer of 1936 with a subsequent expansion in 1937. It has a pavilion structure plan open to the sea in purely rationalist style, with long windows, piles, flat roof. A special feature is the control tower, which rises near the road, which evokes the superstructure of a naval vessel. In the pine forest there was a great outdoor theater. It 's the most southerly of the Colonies historical Calambrone and together with Rosa Maltoni was the most significant from an architectural standpoint. It was built by Ente Sons Italian Fasci Abroad and was to receive for the period of their summer holidays the children of Italians residing abroad. After the war came to a similar task by the Foundation that ran until the late sixties when it took over the region of Tuscany. Some parts have been used by the Teatro Verdi as a warehouse for sets and costumes. In the South Hall for a time there were housed homeless families. The party built on the side of the road in the pine forest was used in World War, until 1972, the U.S. Army as a military hospital stationed at Camp Darby which heavily modified interior layout. Later it was used as a storage material in the region and the Civil Defence.
Colonia Vittorio Emanuele III was inaugurated in 1938, started four years earlier on behalf of the Consortium for tuberculosis of Pisa. Designer: Ing. Gino Steffanoni of the Provincia di Pisa. The street front is marked by a certain monumentality. In plan, one can recognize the silhouette of a child with raised arms reaching out toward a hug, logo of the Campaign for tuberculosis, diffuse dall'OMNI (Opera National Maternity and Childhood). The sea side is characterized by two groups opened up a spiral staircase angle, that is not glazed. Colonia Marina Costanzo Ciano was last to be opened (1939), was built for use of The Relief Fire Department for which still works today as a home for the holidays, with the name of Santa Barbara.
Service Center 's a group of buildings built between 1932 and 1934 on the inner side of the Avenue of the Tyrrhenian Sea (then Viale XXVIII October), in the pines in front of the Colonia Regina Elena. It included an infirmary, the Church, the health department, clinics, office space, a laundry room and a district heating plant and two other buildings for housing and stores.
